I had the oppurtunity to look through Mont Belvieu’s new homes and seen that there are a lot of new homes in Mont Belvieu TX. I noticed that one of the major builders in the community was K. Hovnanian Homes (The Villages at Champion’s Gate). So i William TJ Realty schelduled an interview to find out what they had to offer to help serve you.

“The brand is k Hovnanian Homes, we are a huge builder. We’re a nationwide builder, we strive for excellence, we want to be the best home builder in the United States, that is what we do. we’ve been around for 60 years, we’ve been building homes since 1959 when we started the company and we have just continued all the way till now. And we’re just going to continue building. We are a very large company, we’re a Fortune 400 company and we are like I said a company that is striving for excellence. Great customers, we want to build a great product for our customers”
How Is The Mont Belvieu community?
“Most people move here for two reasons. The schools Being Barbers Hill School District which is A-rated they’re the most excellent schools in the area. The other reason is the tax rate, 2.3% before homestead. So people like that because they can afford more home. Our houses are typically a little more expensive than in other areas. With that lower tax rate, it allows them to buy more home so, for instance, somebody buying a $320,000 in Baytown can have the same monthly payment as a $350,000 here because of the low taxes. And you get great schools. That is this area is growing so much, they say that in the next 12 years we could have 30,000 people here which is fantastic.”
What Separates K Hovnanian homes from the other home builders?
“We’ve been around for 60 years, a lot of home builders don’t make it and they end up folding the doors. We’ve been around for 60 years so we have withstood the hard times and we’ve gone through the good times as well, so we have longevity. We always have promotions with our homes whether it be inventory homes or homes that we build from dirt.”
Incentives for New Homes In Mont Belvieu TX?
“Those incentives are through our in-house lender. Our in-house lender is K Hovnanian American mortgage, they are part of K Hovnanian Homes. By using them we’ll offer our clients some incentives for closing costs or maybe some free upgrades or a combination of the two. The nice thing about using a K Hovnanian mortgage is that if we say you’re going to close on X date, we’re going to get you closed on that date. We’re not going to miss the close. There are so many things that can go wrong when you’re buying a home. Our lender is geared to make sure those things don’t happen so we get you to the closing table, and so you can get your keys and move in.”
What are some of the features in your homes?
“In this community, we start off at $280,000 it would go to about $400,000. We start at 2,000 square feet and go to about 4,000 square feet. Our homes will have four sides brick. They’ll have granite countertops, maple cabinets, they’ll have eighteen-inch tile in the wet areas which are standard, will have some stair parts on the stairs as standard. So there’s a lot of standard features that you get with our homes. Plus we offer a design gallery down the street where you can actually go and personalize your home. If we’re building the home from dirt, you can pick out whatever you want to put throughout your home and we set up a three-hour appointment with an interior designer. That costs money but we pay for that for you to have that experience you can personalize your home.”
